This sunny lace and cable socks pattern is now live!

This intricate cable socks pattern will bring sunshine to your day whatever the weather! Knit seamlessly from the top down they feature several cable knitting patterns which are both written and charted.

The sample is knitted in ‘Beeswax’ from Birdstreet Yarns 4ply Tonal range and it makes me so happy.. The yarn was an absolute dream to work with and I’ve already been back for more for an upcoming release. I just love sock yarn, I can’t help myself!

These socks are constructed using a traditional heel flap method and I have chosen Eye of Partridge stitch for this section as it works so beautifully with this hand dyed yarn.

There are eight charts in the pattern and I have also include written instructions. I’ve tried to lay the pattern out for ease of working through these and as such all the charts are separate and worked in order from right to left for each sock. This also means if you prefer you can pop them all into the Knit Companion app and set up a chart for your entire sock. I’m told by my testers that this was really helpful!

I enjoyed working these socks as I’m such a sucker for these repeating patterns and teeny stitches. Expect to see a few more patterns in this vein as I’m not done yet.
