This week in my Socktober KAL I’ve been working on a pair of Harlyn Bay socks from the toe up. The little pair of top-down shorties have been so popular this year and because the stitch pattern is similar both ways up, I’ve decided to write a version of the pattern in the other direction. The first sock knitted up fast, I started it on the 1st October and was done two days later. Considering I was also working, had a kid off sick and then a busy weekend, that doesn’t seem too bad to me! Even if I am knitting them in sport weight yarn this time. I’m using Filcolana Pernilla from my local yarn shop No Frills Knitting.
The second sock I cast on yesterday and enjoyed the flow of it last night. I understand why people are enjoying this pattern so much. It’s amazing how quickly they knit up when you only have to knit the foot, heel and cuff!
Here’s a finished pair by Talsu in the KAL group. She knit them up really fast and had some lovely words to say that I wanted to share:
“I might finish these today, these are so easy to follow and brainless.
It’s my first time knitting your socks and I really like how easy pattern is to follow. I have knitted Autumn Gold Lace Beanie/Slouch Hat 3 times (testknitting and twice after it) and I loved it really much”
If you want to join the KAL, you’re not too late! Pop in and introduce yourself and knit along with us!
All my sock patterns are still discounted by 20% on here and Ravelry until the 10th October with code SOCKTOBER26.
